An-2 is one of the oldest and safest planes in Russia. Its construction – wire-braced biplane – has proved its security and safety by the years of exploitation. An-2 is capable of landing in unprepared area, after the engine cutoff the plane continues to glide.

Light passenger An-2 plane was the first vehicle made in Development Design Office named after O.K. Antonov. It is the only plane in the world that is being produced for more than 50 years. The given plane entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the most long-term produced plane.

The first An-2 took off on the 31 of August 1947. The plane was exported to 26 countries. The length of the plane is 12,74 meters, the height is 6,10 m, the size of the upper wing – 18,18 m, the length of the cabin is 4,1, the width of the cabin is 1,6 m, the height – 1,8 m. The maximum takeoff weight is 5500 kg, сruise speed is 180 km per hour, aviation range of action – 900 km, operating ceiling – 4400 m. Disposable load is 12 passengers or 1300 tons of cargo. The air crew consists of two people.
